Ferrite magnet,or also known as Ceramic magnet.Ferrite magnets are corrosion resistant, they can be used in water with no corrosion at all.Although not as powerful as rare earth neodymium magnet (NdFeB magnet),their high coercivity and relative low cost make them ideal for use in motors and high temperature motors.
Application of Ferrite (Ceramic) Magnets
Advantages of Ferrite (Ceramic) Magnets
1.Do not corrode in water.
2.Can be used up to +250℃.
3.High coercivity (Hcj) that increases as magnet heats up.
4.Electrically insulating.
5.Relatively low cost - good for cost saving projects.
Disadvantages of Ferrite (Ceramic) Magnets
1.The magnetic power are weaker than neodymium magnet.
2.Sometimes there will be mould and magnetized fixture development cost.
Magnetization Orientation of Arc Ferrite Magnet
Arc/segment ferrite magnet can be diametrical magnetized in pair, magnetized through thickness or width.
